From Smithfield, North Carolina
Reverend Dr. Lori Michelle is originally from Smithfield, North Carolina. From the time she was 11 years old, she grew up under the ministry of L. Foday Farrar at Wake Baptist Grove, and she went on with that ministry as it expanded to Solid Rock Ministry International.
Stay in the Race
In 1998 she preached her initial sermon, “Stay in the Race”. She remained under his tutelage until 2008.
Ordained to preach as God called her
Dr. Lori was later ordained under the ministry of Apostle Dr. Etta Brown of True Gospel Pentecostal Ministries. Dr. Brown inspired her to preach the gospel as God had ordained and called her, and taught her that her anointing would take her to the people and places God had ordained from the beginning of time for her to reach. She also encouraged her
“to never be put in a box.”
Starting this church
In April 2012, Dr. Lori started the church inside her home in Garner, North Carolina. Today she leads it from a chapel on South Wilmington Street in Raleigh.
